What Is Neurodiversity Coaching?

Neurodiversity Coaching is tailored support focused on supporting and accepting all brain types. We use a consultative, neurodiversity affirming approach to share information about neurodiversity; help individuals to understand how this information relates to their own lives, working practices, and brain; and most importantly to provide an empowering sense of accountability in taking action to embrace individual neurotypes and working styles.

 

Often, Neurodivergent individuals report coaching to be the most valuable form of support they've received, as it provides deeper self awareness of their neurotype, needs, and ability to harness their strengths in the workplace.

It can also be helpful for Managers and those that work with and support Neurodivergent individuals, allowing them to expand their awareness and practice more inclusive management techniques in a supportive space. 

What Do We Offer?

We can work with you to design a Neurodiversity Coaching Program to support your employees. This might look like:

  • A group coaching program for Neurodivergent individuals focused on a particular topic like executive functioning, self awareness, or advocacy and communication. Group coaching can provide invaluable peer support to neurodivergent individuals and create an understanding network that lasts long after the coaching sessions have ended.

  • A group coaching program for managers to learn more about neurodiversity and practice more inclusive approaches in a safe group context. Having your peers all committing to small actions of inclusion between sessions can provide invaluable motivation, helping managers actually turn their inclusive ideas into reality.

  • Making 1/1 coaching sessions available to employees to use as they need, whether they are Neurodivergent themselves or seeking to improve how they work with Neurodivergent colleagues. Providing this tailored support for Neurodivergent individuals alongside standard employee resources can serve to reinforce that the company's commitment to neuro-inclusion is real, improving employee feelings of being accepted and supported.
